9435 #158, VF, sound, bearing a non-tying simplex SOTN black star in circle killer on VF intact envelope. Cover bears a magenta ALTAMONTE, ORANGE Co. FLA. AUG 2 1878 county name postmark (Doane-Thompson 658). Altamonte is listed in Helbock as a quite scarce Seminole County DPO (1874-91, R5 scarcity). Seminole County split from Orange County April 25, 1913, so the Altamonte post office was part of Orange County during the entire time of its existence. $40

9502 #213, fine, perf faults at top, PHILADELPHIA NOV 6 88 postmark and ellipse killer on VF intact Sunshine Publishing Company advertising cover with a wonderful multicolor image of a puppy dog staring out of torn paper. A terrific and very appealing canine image! $100
9339 #206, VF SE copy, on VF large wrapper with front and back advertising for Hood's Sarsaparillapromoted for numerous medicinal remedies. Wrapper addressed to single name without address, an obvious local mailing.  Scarce advertising wrapper. $50

9379 #182, VF, sound, tied by simplex grid on wrapper made from a refolded illustrated envelope for Boston Electric Co., an extremely early example of electrification advertising. Locally mailed and forwarded to Lower Bartlett NH. Very unusual. $40

9060 #UX3, VF, with F-VF #156 used to pay for remailing of The Masonic Mutual Relief Association member notification, WASHINGTON DC JUNE 1 (1875) original postmark, JUNE 28 on the #156. Card is short paid 2¢, since 1st class 3¢ postage was required for remailing.  Apparently this short pay was accepted.  The remailing of the early first issue postal cards was rather uncommon and the 1st class postage requirement probably not yet well recognized. 8956 #147, edge fault, tied by VF geometric killer, NEW YORK FEB 16 postmark VF on intact advertising cover picturing a silver trompe-l'œil medallion for John Matthews, soda water apparatus.  Matthews is noted as the father of the soda fountain. Nice. $35
