This Yale Lock cancel (Bomar
P78-02, only 4 known),
applied to the envelope upon receipt at the Exposition model post
office, was probably created for use at the Yale Exhibit at the
Centennial, but no such use has been reported. Cover is backstamped
with partial strike of French "Exposition Universelle/Postes &
Telegraphe" double circle Exposition postmark. A
wonderful cover and one of the great Exposition rarities. 2012

destination usages of Columbian issue stamps on penalty mail abroad
