Front bears a red "ETATS-UNIS CHERBOURG 12 JUL 75 receiver. Cover sent to Smith Owen c/o N. F. Fenwick, No. 8 Rue St. George, Paris (blue oval receiver on reverse). Address penned out and a new address for Smith Owen c/o Messrs. Rob't Thode & Co., Banker, Dresden, Germany applied on reverse where a green 5 centime Ceres head stamp canceled JUL 13 has been applied for forwarding postage. Unfortunately, the wrapper has lost a (presumed) 1 cent Banknote stamp that was positioned just below the wrapper indicia and would have just been canceled by the cork killer. The missing stamp would have completed the 3 cent newspaper rate to France. Nevertheless, this is an extremely scarce example of a foreign destination wrapper forwarded to a second foreign destination.
